Merry Whovian Christmas

En attendant l’épisode spécial Noel de ce soir voici mon classement des épisodes spéciaux Noel  de Doctor Who. En onzième position, The next doctor: Le docteur arrive quelque part à une certaine période et quelqu’un prétend être le docteur. Le docteur fait face à une attaque de Cybermen. En dixième position, The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe: C’était un épisode pas mal avec un bon esprit de Noël mais pas un de mes épisodes préférés. En neuvième position, Voyage of the Damned: Dans cet épisode Kylie Minogue apparait en guest star. C’est un bon épisode où on voit des personnages racontant de fausses histoires de Noël comme que les humains chassaient les Turques durant Noël. Il y a là un bon esprit de Noël. En huitième position, A Christmas carol: Le docteur tente de changer quelqu’un pour le rendre plus gentil en voyageant dans le temps et en interagissant avec la jeune version de celui-ci. Un bon esprit de Noël et une histoire intéressante. En septième position, The husbands of River Song: Quand le docteur arrive et aperçoit River, River ne le reconnait pas sous cette nouvelle forme. C’était un épisode assez amusant mais pas mon préféré. En sixième position, The Runaway Bride: Dans cet épisode le docteur rencontre Dona, une « companion » future. Je ne me souviens pas exactement de l’histoire mais la scène où Dona est téléportée dans le Tardis en robe de mariée est hilarante. J’adore ce personnage et sa relation avec le docteur.    En cinquième position, The Christmas invasion: Cet épisode a un esprit de Noël mais c’est aussi le premier épisode avec David Tennant en tant que Docteur. David Tenant y fait une entrée remarquable. Cet épisode nous montre le ton du docteur David Tennant. En quatrième position, The end of time: Même si cet épisode ne crie pas joyeux noël, c’est quand même le dernier épisode avec David Tennant avant sa régénération en Matt Smith. C’est donc un épisode assez important. On dit au revoir au dixième docteur pour faire place au onzième docteur. En troisième position, Last Christmas: Cet épisode si je me souviens bien fait un peu penser à Inception dans le sens où on se demande dans plusieurs scènes si c’est un rêve ou si c’est réel. Et ils réussissent à jouer avec nos émotions parce que nous ne savions pas encore si Clara serait de retour pour la saison prochaine. Et de plus cet épisode en introduisant le père Noël marque surement le plus de points en terme d’esprit de Noël. En seconde position, The time of the doctor: Le tout dernier épisode avec Matt Smith. Un épisode très émouvant. Cet épisode a un grand esprit de Noël et marque un changement pour la série car il introduit le 12ième docteur le génial Peter Capaldi en tant que docteur. En première position, The snowmen: Ce n’est pas seulement mon épisode spécial Noël préféré mais aussi un de mes épisodes préférés de toute la série. C’est un épisode tellement beau à regarder. Il introduit aussi Clara, qui est ma “companion” préférée. Cet épisode nous présente une nouvelle dynamique après que le docteur ait perdu Amy et Rory.

Waiting for tonight’s Christmas special here is my ranking of Doctor Who Christmas specials. In eleventh position, The next doctor: The doctor arrives someplace at some period and some man thinks he is the doctor. The doctor handles a cybermen attack. In tenth position, The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe: That was an Ok episode with a good Christmas spirit but not my favorite. In ninth position, Voyage of the Damned: In this episode Kylie Minogue is a guest star. It is a good episode where the characters a board of the fake titanic tell wrong stories about Christmas, like humans hunting Turkey people. There is also here a good Christmas spirit. In eighth position, A Christmas carol: The doctor tries to change someone and make him kinder by going back in time and interacting with his younger version. A good interesting story and a nice Christmas spirit. In seventh position, The husbands of River Song: When the doctor arrives and sees River, River doesn’t recognize him with his new face. It was quite fun to see River Song again but not my favorite episode. In sixth position, The Runaway Bride: In this episode the doctor meets Dona, one future companion. I don’t remember much about the story but the scene when Dona gets teleported into the Tardis right before her wedding was hilarious. I love this companion and her relationship with the doctor.   In fifth position, The Christmas invasion: It has a little bit of Christmas spirit but also it is the very first episode with David Tenant as the Doctor. Tennant makes a great entrance in this episode. It sets the tone for the David Tennant doctor. In fourth position, The end of time: While this episode might not have a lot of Christmassy spirit but it is the last episode of David Tennant before he regenerates into the Matt Smith Doctor. So it is quite a big deal episode. We say good bye to the tenth doctor and welcome the eleventh doctor. In third position, Last Christmas: If I remember well this episode has an inception vibe because at some points we don’t know if it is a dream or if it is real. And they play with our emotion because at that point we didn’t know yet if Clara would be back for the next season. That was emotional. And that episode introducing Santa has probably the biggest Christmas spirit. In second position, The time of the doctor: the very last episode with Matt Smith. A very teary episode. This episode has a great Christmas spirit and is at the same time a turning point to the story because it introduces us to the 12th doctor, the current doctor the great Peter Capaldi as the doctor. In first position, The snowmen: this not only my favorite Christmas special but one of my favorite episodes as a whole. It is so beautiful to watch. It introduces Clara, who is my favorite companion. This episode also presents a new dynamic after the doctor has lost Amy and Rory.
